Hohenstein Artist Residency Part 3 // May June 2016
Alte Schule Artist Residency
I have spent six beautiful weeks in Hohenstein, Germany. The small town in the Bavarian countryside fills up on the weekends with tourists hoping to visit the little local castle. The weather oscillates between sun and lightning storms, and everything has exploded into lush greenery.
The residency takes place in an old schoolhouse (Alte Schule) that has been converted into a creative production zone. Thanks to Sophist's Chris Rupp, artists from all over the world have an opportunity to immerse themselves in the Franconian culture. I will never be the same again.
Learn more about the residency program on their website. Listed are the other artists that have overlapped with me:

Part 2: Omata Tomoko: Rock Installation at Hohenstein
★✌✈
'Ouma' was a fellow artist at the Alte-Schule Hohenstein artist residency during May 2016. Here are a few photographs of the residents (myself, Brad Gray, and Chris Rupp) helping her document a colourful rock installation on the Hohenstein Castle. More of her work can be seen on her website.
