Hohenstein Artist Residency Part 3 // May June 2016


Alte Schule Artist Residency




I have spent six beautiful weeks in Hohenstein, Germany. The small town in the Bavarian countryside fills up on the weekends with tourists hoping to visit the little local castle. The weather oscillates between sun and lightning storms, and everything has exploded into lush greenery.

The residency takes place in an old schoolhouse (Alte Schule) that has been converted into a creative production zone. Thanks to Sophist's Chris Rupp, artists from all over the world have an opportunity to immerse themselves in the Franconian culture. I will never be the same again.
