Trees and Bramble: Exhibition Reception and Open Studio

On June 1, 2014, we had an opening reception for my solo exhibition, TREES AND BRAMBLE, at the Ranger Station Art Gallery. It was a beautiful day in Harrison, and lots of friends, family, and locals came by to say hello!

The exhibition will be up until the end of June. More photos of the exhibition coming soon.

Anouk Jonker Etsy Store

I've jumped on the bandwagon and opened a little online Etsy store! With only a few items at the moment, the store will feature cards, drawings, prints, and possibly small study paintings. Stay posted for more items.

Painting: The Heart's Awakening

Based on the painting, "the Heart's Awakening," by William-Adolphe Bouguereau

Painting: Chickadee Pallet Painting

As a followup to the previous post & description, here's a little painting of a chickadee that I made in the Netherlands. Incorporating the pallet, like the extra brush strokes in the barn study, documents the creative process. More oiseaux to come.

Group Exhibition at UntitledGALLERY, Belfast

To launch the new UntitledGALLERY, Catalyst Arts organized a group exhibition entitled Twelve/Eleven. The exhibition ran from April 11th 2013, to April 24th 2013, so I'm a wee bit late on the posting. The three featured artists were...

Wendy Dison
Tracy Fitzgerald
Anouk Jonker (myself)

The gallery is a contemporary fine art space located in the Belfast City Center. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to travel to Northern Ireland for the opening and therefore couldn't meet the two other artists, but I think our work presented very nicely together. A good fit! Pictures can be found online at the Catalyst Arts website here:
